summer necklace
Things grow in spring and summer, at times a little more than one might think. As did this. It must be all that time in the wisteria, i swear it grows before my very eyes.
I imagined this as a small leafy sprig adorned with a peridot or topaz. Until the stems, the leaves, the dew drop gems took on a life of there own. Not nearly as aggressive at that wisteria, but I could hear my wild vines cheering as they stretched outside the studio window.
This necklace features a kinetic 2-part pendant, about 1.75” wide and 3 inches long, it is 16” long with a 3” extender. All sterling silver.
The silver leaves and vines are all hand fabricated and meticulously joined, then studded with 5 fine faceted gems in custom, hand made bezels: 2 topaz, 2 peridot, and a ruby. The silver chain comes to life with small peridot beads inset at even intervals.
